chilly / nippy

Chilly (adjective) Cold. You can use "chilly" to talk about weather, conditions in a room, or parts of the body.

The bathroom gets chilly in the winter.

I felt a bit chilly so I put on a jacket.

Nippy (adjective) INFORMAL. You can use "nippy" to say that the weather or air is quite cold.

It's a bit nippy today - you might need a coat.
