pretty (quite)

(INFORMAL) You can use "pretty" the same way you use "quite". Meaning not extremely. Example: not really busy but pretty busy.

Pretty means fairly or moderately.

Her work was pretty good.

Pretty means quite or very:

The wind blew pretty hard.

More examples:

The house has four bedrooms, so it's pretty big.

I'm pretty sure it was her.

I've got a pretty good idea of how to get there.
